What we mean by women concerns

Women's issues aren't a single diagnosis. They reflect many of the experiences, expectations, and life transitions that women navigate throughout their lives.

For many women, there's the invisible mental load of remembering, planning, organizing, and caring for everyone else's needs while quietly putting their own aside.

There are messages learned early in life that being a good daughter, partner, mother, or friend means putting yourself last, avoiding conflict, and not asking for too much. Over time, it becomes easy to lose sight of who you are outside of the many roles you hold.

Life transitions such as becoming a parent, caring for aging parents, career changes, relationship challenges, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum changes, perimenopause, or menopause can also affect your emotional well-being and your sense of identity.

This might be the work for you if

  • You may be feeling overwhelmed by the demands of balancing work, relationships, parenting, caregiving, or other responsibilities.

  • You may be navigating a major life transition, such as becoming a parent, adjusting to postpartum, experiencing infertility, going through a divorce, caring for aging parents, changing careers, or entering perimenopause or menopause.

  • You may notice changes in your mood, your confidence, your relationships, or your sense of identity and find yourself wondering why life suddenly feels different.

  • Or you may simply feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of how to move forward.

  • Whatever has brought you here, therapy offers a space to better understand what you're experiencing and find a path that feels right for you.

What working together looks like

Every woman's story is different. Our work begins by understanding what has brought you to therapy and the experiences that have shaped where you are today. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

Depending on your needs, our work may focus on navigating a life transition, strengthening relationships, adjusting to motherhood, managing stress or anxiety, processing grief or loss, rebuilding your confidence after a divorce, or reconnecting with your sense of identity.

Therapy isn't about telling you who you should be. It's about helping you better understand yourself so you can make decisions that align with your values and the life you want to create.

What Therapy May Include

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help identify patterns of thinking that contribute to anxiety, depression, self-criticism, perfectionism, or feeling overwhelmed.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you develop psychological flexibility so you can respond more effectively to life's challenges while staying connected to your values.

Depending on your needs, we'll also focus on developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, strengthening relationships, building self-confidence, and navigating life's transitions with greater resilience.
